This is one of the cats that come to visit daily at no. 31. Pemalu taknak tunjuk muka. Baby X suka timang dia pasal dia boroi. Once upon a time, she was quite emanciated, full of mange which was quite bad that her ears looked like cauliflower. Other than feeding her twice daily with the rest of the gang, i also took pains applying minyak gamat on her ears, removing the dried crusty skin etc. Of course not forgetting the compulsory snip snip. I thought she belongs to the acik depan rumah yg bela kucing tapi utk sayang2 je.
One day, my maid saw another neighbour meneman dia makan in my house compound. So she asked the neighbour, pehal. That akak from a few doors down said that's her cat. She picked her up from the market. She told my maid lenkali kalau dia datang makan please tell her to go home (ewah!). She has her meals at home. But i tak sangka ni akak tu punya bec her other cats semua ada loceng and are kept indoors most of the times. My maid replied, oh...apsal dia banyak kurap? Tau tak ibu CK dah bawak dia pi klinik semua, cuci kurapnya? That neighbour cakap timakasih. Lenkali si comel tu datang utk makan, sila hantar dia balik. At that time yg dia banyak kurap tu apparently akak tu baru ambik dua dari pasar. Hmmm...dia tak heran ke yg kucing tu balik rumah dgn greasy ears and bau minyak gamat? Btw, bukannya sekejap she had mange until i tak tahan and took charge.
Well i yang selalu kasi makan and no i tak sampai hati. Subuh sapiee nak pi kerja dah dia tertonggok kat pintu dapur mintak makan. Balik kerja dia yg kejar kereta kita dulu. Of course mulut i yg serhope lahar ni bila nak bagi makan akan cakap kuat2..'helooo...sesapa yg ada tuan, sila balik rumah makan or kasi orang lain makan dulu...'
Then acik depan rumah claim custody pulak dgn kucing tu. She asked my maid, kucing akak tu dah 4 malam tak balik. Aikkk?! To which another neighbour's maid yg happened to be there replied, 'bila dah cantik semua mengaku tu kucingnya'. Yes, she's turned into a beauty what with her bulu separa panjang and badan dah bulat...sometimes i thought, eh pregnant ke dia, sebelum teringat yg dia dah kena sunat. Even Esah yg nampak dia pun boleh jatuh hati and had planned to kidnap her.
With acik tu yg ingat i ni menjalankan petting zoo, i cukup tensi tau. I ikhlas bagi kucing2 kat kuar tu makan tapi tak yah milking it for all its worth. Masa raya puasa dulu, dia ada upah orang utk bersihkan rumah. Bila orang tu tanya tak nak upah bagi kucing makan ke sepeninggalan dia balik kampung nanti, dia boleh jawab, ' takpe, akak depan tu bagi makan'. Ni orang tu seniri cakap kat my maid to confirm.
Hamboi sangat tau! Now ni tak kisah la sapa punya. What i know is that her food and welfare have been looked after by me. Rasa macam nak contest for sole custody je ni. Hmmm...siap pindah rumah esok2..nanti 'terangkut' sekali cik boroi dengan barang2.
Monty and his food. I want him to switch partially to wet food...apparently much better for cats. Masih trial and error. Last time i bought primal freeze dried...pandang pun dia tak hingin. The stray cats berkenduri ria. They actually went berserk! Kalau ada yang jinak2 merpati and needs to be snipped, masa bagi primal senang je nak scoop up and put into the carrier. Then i tried natural balance - pergh! Applaws - no way. Padahal the tuna were chunky and i feel good enough for human sandwich pun. Monge? This one is OK but possibly tuna only. Not many petshops stock this so i would hav eto go to the big ones in MV, Ikano etc. (adoi malasnya saya). Semalam try cari petfood home delivery yg ada Monge. Found petsmore..but not many choices of flavour. Yg purely tuna takde..see how it goes lah. Cerewet betul budak bulu tu!
As for Ugi, i'm trying to get her to eat wet food too in preparation for 'old age' i.e. subsequently loss of teeth. She would eat kibbles only..kenkadang je dia jilat2 soup si Monty. A few weeks ago, her upper left canine was pushed inwards. Dia tak boleh tutup mulut dia. The other one dah patah lama dah..surprisingly no hassle to her at all even though the root was still buried then. So she had to undergo GA to have both extracted. The very young vet kept warning me that considering her age (7 tahun dah considered tua in cat-dom), GA would be risky for her. But then again, did she mention of other alternatives? No.... Possible ke nak cabut gigi under LA? Tak, kan? And it's not as if we could leave her unable to close her mouth like that. Thank god, she woke up from the GA. Satu hari i tak boleh concentrate kat office....
Terasa2 nak budak kecik bulu lagi kat rumah...

Yes, bagi setakat melepas batok di tangga..leftover nasik and lauk pauk. Kucing pun tau kat mana dia boleh dapat makan sedap..

ReplyDeleteDulu saya bagi standard supermarket purina one ( tak jumpa this product kat malaysia), tapi anak bulu mula ada problem gastro so try pakai Science Plan. Anak bulu tak suka yg wet food dia. suka dry food je. bawak balik suma SP wet food ke Msia bagi kat kucing luar, pun dieorang tak mahu! sekarang tengah try Monge, tapi anak bulu batu belah bertangkup jilat jilat manja je. Tensi jiwaku tau kita jimat untuk die, dia boleh tak nak makan!
