Angin

This morning akak sungguh angin. I happened to read a post on LD by a famous blogger. Tertera kat postnya no. Meybeng utk tabung kalau kita nak menderma, for the families of the fallen heroes.

Lepas tu, adalah si Anony ni (short form from annoying kut) mengomen. Maksudnya lebih kurang camni , 'Menderma kpd askar? Saya dah bayar tax. Oh terlupa, gomen makan duit tu'.
Utk adik tu, I'm sure mesti adik punya, meh sini akak nak mengomel. Secara lazimnya, kalau berlaku sesuatu kematian, masa ziarah atau klau kita tak pi ziarah pun, kita hulurkan sumbangan utk menyatakan simpati kita selain dari nak ringankan beban keluarga yg ditinggalkan tu. Lagipun, apa salahnya bersedekah buat amal jariah..

Those men lost their lives for our country. Siapa sangka dgn tetiba those women and children kehilangan tempat bergantung, orang yg disayangi? Pi beli sokhabar Star hari ni, selak muka surat, tengok gambar2 and baca satu persatu cerita anak bini yg ditinggalkan. Sedih ok! Ada wife yg baru nak celebrate anniversary, anak yg tunggu surprise bday present from the dad...They redha but still in shock..who wouldn't, right?
Let me tell you also, the police get paid pittance ok? Pastu working condition..ya rabbi! Office panas, aircond tak cukup, meja macam meja cikgu sekolah rendah kita dulu. Computer dari zaman jepun...ni cakap berlandaskan fakta not auta (according to my friend yg buat research kat balai polis). And these are the people that we expect to look after our security and they ever willingly do so. Don't talk about bad apples here..memana pun, it happens.
They lost their lives so that people like you and I can sleep at night. They are gone, but this is the least we can do for them, look after their loved ones left behind. Let not their sacrifices be in vain. This is not the time to condemn the govt for allegedly misusing taxpayers' money. Be grateful that you haven't lost anyone closed to you so tragically.
Lastly al-fatihah to those who lost their lives in LD.
