This stone was no bling bling

MSU* made some favourable comments on my dressing today. Yg tak tahannya he thought I had bought the outfit after his pep talk with me. Ek eleh sempat perasan mamat tu. He fancies himself as Jeannie Mai kut...I told him I've had them for quite sometime, dia je yg tak nampak bec the rest of the time bila dia tkde masalah donia nak bincang dgn I, he'd be busy with Milahs and Jenabs i.e the young ones.Asyik dok meleser dengan depa.

Anyway, was quite poorly earlier this week. Little D caught the tummy flu bug on Sunday. I was very convinced that's what it was but MG took her to the GP and was told yg dia salah makan. The next day, I pulak yg kena. By lunchtime dah lebih 10x ke bilikair, atas bawah keluar. Sampaikan letak bucket tepi katil. MG came home for lunch and brought back some meds. Sampai petang rasa cam nak mati. Tapi best ada dayang2 kecik yg suapkan makan, urut kaki semua. Baby X insisted on sponging my forehead although I had no fever. Layankan je lah. Bagi dia feeling2 misi sekejap. This must be the third tummy flu I've had within the span of 2 years. Lupa nak add on to my list of ailments post. Mengenangkan the mode of transmission is faecal-oral, nampak sangat my hand-hygiene kurengg after handling little D's cebok..hihihi..

I had too much of sun exposure over the weekend. We had a shortbreak kat hotel yg we were supposed to go previously. Menunggu budak2 tu swimming. Masa perut I sakit and I muntah2 tu, I was like oh oh...not heat stroke! Btw, I've had heatstroke before. My second year in the UK. Too much barbq n strawberries n cream on one summer's day. Kalah omputeh you..pastu hah! Hambik kau! And fluid intake was inadequate. Lepas tu the next day, siap. Stomach cramps, diarrhoea, vomiting...sampai kena panggil GP ke rumah. Was quite serious le bunyinya pasal kat UK sinun, unless you are nearly at your deathbed baru dapat jumpa dr. Kalau batuk selsema biasa, sempat you baik seniri baru dapat appointment. 

Anyway, 4 weeks ago sakit macam nak mati jugak. Pain was slightly less than labour pain but 10x worse than menstrual pain. Bila I cakap cenggitu MG cakap, what do I know about labour pain? Kan bebudak kluar ikut tingkap. Pasal bukan dia yg beranak, he seemed to forget that with little D I did endure the pain until the baby was distressed and tak boleh kluar sendiri, kan? And I was one of those nutcases yg epidural doesn't have the intended effect on me...and I'm allergic to all non-steroidal pain killers. So pain management post op pun masih sipi2 boleh rasa. Anyway, regarding that pain, rasa cam nak berguling atas katil. Budak2 dua org tu cam amused tengok kita, pi lompat2 atas katil. Baby X cakap, mummy dah tua ye? Mummy dah nak mati ke..aiyooo!
 
Pain originated from behind, on the left side. So I knew my appendix was ok..and it was far far away from my heart (phew!), even though sakitnya sampai I termuntah2 and terbey bey. MG rushed home (woi lama gak tunggu dia tau..adalah 15min lebih kut walaupun ofis sepelaunggg je. Kalau heart attack mmg dah lama I kojol. But I think I did tell him on the phone it was not my heart..so sebab tu dia memandu secara berhemah dari ofis). Some of you may ask awat yg I fixated sangat dgn sakit jantung ni kan? Well I have a family history yg tetiba je my uncles and aunties including my maternal grandpa dropped dead. My mum had a heart attack and dia takdak high BP, cholesterol, diabetes semua. Last check my choles. level was ok but I have yet to undergo the full cardiac assessment.
 
Anyway, MG rushed me to the nearest private hosp. Yg gomen punya ada sepelaung je...but I didn't have any blood and gore to show... so not dramatic enough for gomen A &E. Tiba sana the dr masuk iv fluid, iv pethidine and painkiller entah apa but not non-steroidals. Pastu bagi ponstan orally (alahai!). Dari petang sampai malam dekat 5 jam I ngerang2 lagi. Kalau labour pain ada jugak it comes in waves. Ni tak! It was all the time sakit! No xray or ultrasound but pain was classic for kidney stone. The emergency dr cakap depa takde bed for the night and what I needed was effective pain management. Sib baik pun takde bec can't imagine kalau ubatnya cenggitu...he said the next strongest would be morphine. Takkan nak bagi tu kut katanya. Oi bagi je lah I apa2 asalkan sakit hilang...kalau nak sembur2 I dgn air sireh masa tu pun I redho. Pastu cucuk pethidine IM pulak. I got high for like 2 seconds pastu sakit balik. Last2 dr cakap nah ambik surat referal ni dan nyah kau dari sini..hehe..not really lah.
Ok..then MG tanya shall we go to spital gomen kat rumah or KPJ terdekat yg lbh kurang half an hour from our house? Hmm bila lagi nak guna medical card I yg ada lifetime limit of RM1.8m and annual limit of 160k? Hihi..bukan riak Piah..cuma nak tunjukkan betapa ngong nya I. Main ambik je insurance and dah beroverlap sana sini. Dan bukankah I ni org gomen (yg jarang mengaku gomen) yg boleh walk in kat memana sepital kerjaan and bayar 5 inggit pun tak sampai (ye ke? Tak nah masik spital) dan juga mempunyai kemudahan wad yg disediakan khas lagi utk pekerja seperti saya di workplace B saya? Aritu agent insurance compA suh I tambah limit lifetime from 225k to 2 million katanya. Nyaris ok! Sib baik I suh agent compB summarisekan semua policies yg I ada (dia ni dah jadi cam kawan, so tak malu nak ngaku kat dia yg i couldn't remember / understand? what i am paying monthly for)
..kalau tak dekat 4million I insured. Kalau upon maturity boleh convert into cash OK lah jugak kan...ni mengayakan insurance company je. I'm never good with numbers. Anything with figures memang masuk telinga kiri and lantun balik keluar. Tak sampai yg kanan pun. Btw, MG, if u are reading this, agent compB suh I tanya you, you tak mo ke ambik medical card dgn dia sementara you masih 'muda' dan takdak penyakit. Ye lah...bila you pencen dari company sekarang ni, mana cukup medical coverage under compA yg kita ambik dulu...(sempat tu bagi pesanan kat sini).

Well, since when we left the hosp was already around 10pm, I decided to just go to the hosp gomen dekat rumah. Kalau nak kena hantar baju kemudian pun dekat je. Kalau KPJ memang sah kena tahan dah. Lagipun, MG had similar batu karang problem last year. Lepas sejam je kat A&E spital tu, terus nyerongen** je dia. So I wanted whatever drug he had!

I keluar je dari keta depan A&E of courselah berlakon extra bongkok2 clutching my left side. Over ok! Adeh...adeh...terus attendant plonked me on a wheelchair. Pas 10min panggil masuk bilik triage (is that what u call it? Yg depa tengok u genuinely sakit ke auta tu) then they sent me ke dalam ward emergency. Pain killer, iv fluids and 15min pastu I pulak dah boleh menyerongen. They did Ultrasound..tak nampak batu. Mungkin still very small katanya. After 2 hours I was discharged. With some meds. Drs were all professional walaupun rhope masing2 cam pernah I ngajar depa pelajaran 'tatarakyat' je dulu. Syabas ye kat spital ni...yg I cannot sebut nama tapi di sebelahnya ada balai polis, di depannya ada stesen 'ketapi'. So sampai sekarang I asyik dok nengok bila I shishi ada tak batu golek keluar. Hampeh takdak lagi!

Moral of the story:
1. Kalau takdak misi2 mulut lancang or dr muda2 yg asyik dok kunyah singgam sebagaimana yg orang salu dok komplen, service gomen spital tu ok. Tengok tempat jugak kut...cam Esah punya experience ngan amma dia, sungguhlah &%$#@! Oh and I came as a 'makcik' with tudung ikat itik pulang petang je yg senget benget. No wearing my 'name tag/tack (Esah mana satu?)'. Jadi takdelah kejadian pilih bulu kut.
2. Prebet spital takdak la sangat ubat2an yg canggih mana pun..tapi tang bill, memang canggih. Misi2 pun cakap lembuuuutttt je tapi still tak menghilangkan sakit ku itu.
3. Must try keep myseff healthy pasal anak2 ingat I dah nak mati...not nice for them. I grew up with a mum yg over-dramatic...sebab dia jarang sakit, bila kena flu sikit je pun mulalah cakap, 'mak dah nak mati niii..' Trauma tau sampai sekarang! Kenkadang sekarang pun cakap camtu jugak, so I reversekan balik, 'mak, Allah dah kata mati itu pasti'. Hihihiihii..and ko wander napa aku pun black sheep in the family cam KingTut, Esah..
4. I asked MG lepas dah ok and dah sampai rumah semua. You sedih tak kalau I mati? Dia cakap, 'sedih..tapi lepas tu I syok jugak pasal dapat duit banyak'. Ok, remind me I kena tukar penama waris insuran I ke nama mak I or anak2 hehehe..
