Hibernation Part 2

Reasons to go back into hibernation:

1. When i submitted my proposal on this new course last week and presented it to the board members, the coordinator said it was good. Then during yesterday's meeting she said banyak pulak nak kena betulkan. Someone definitely is losing her marbles and it's not me.

2. I miscalculated the weeks and it daunt on me that i'm 33+ weeks gone and i still have loads of (office) work to do before i can finally put up my feet and start pushing (this, god willing junior is not going to decide to arrive before 38-40 weeks). Btw, i've decided that i ain't doing any pushing at all this time round, i've opted to be cut open.

3. I had wanted to take leave today to service my carriage but i found out the roomate is also on leave and conveniently forgot to tell me. Just because i once told him about a colleague of mine who always pretend to go to work when he is in actual fact on leave so that his wife doesn't ask him to mind their clinic. Well for the institution at no. 31, we do not have any clinic as such neither do we need any stakeholders to look after the little one (that's what our employee is there for), so, the most possible reason i can think of is that the roomate is worried that i might cramp his style. Since when do i like to tag along measuring the five foot way? Especially not in this condition when i'm carrying 8kg worth of flesh on my tummy.

4. Since i'm on this subject, i have been fairly independent throughout this pregnancy. Never once have i asked for telur ikan tembakul, pelanduk beranak sulung or free range ikan kelah from Sg Pahang ke...the most were air kelapa, roti canai, roti bakar, pizza, satay and the latest was roti tisu (yg belum dapat lagi). I don't even expect the stakeholder to come with me to the monthly checkups anymore considering that he's ever so busy since joining the new company and annual leaves are few and far between. Heck, unlike during the previous one, i even take my carriage (or the family carriage to be specific) to be serviced, on my own. Yeah yeah, stakeholder may object and say that he's never been asked to carry out any of the above mentioned tasks but after 6 years, astrologers would expect Mars and Venus to have moved closer in understanding. Even though the roomate was going the same way as me a few days ago in the morning, he didn't offer or to be precise politely refused to take the same carriage as me and offer to drive because he promised to travel with a friend. Not that the sex of the passenger matters to me...but me being someone with the usual delayed reaction, after 24 hours, started to think, 'hey, hang on a minute! I am 8 months plus pregnant with stomach so huge that the car seat has to be pushed back resulting in my fingers just merely touching the steering wheel...and who is getting such painful cramps come night time...it's not as if it was a two seater carriage, and even so, that's no excuse because i'm the roomate and it's my prerogative!' it's 80kms to work, RM8 tol pergi balik and i bukan jenis pompuan yg suka nak mendera roomate dia and expect to be chauffer driven to work every day when perut memboyot macam ni. But i do expect my roomate to have it in him a grain of sensitivity and think bila dapat peluang sekali sekala utk tolong tu, buatlah yg sepatutnya kan??? Suffice it to say, i am deeply hurt about this. You know one of those things that lingers at the back of your mind and when you stir from your sleep, you immediately think about it. Hurt enough for me to retreat into my shell(why am i airing my dirty linen (or laundry? Which one is the correct one?) in public?? I'll air my soiled underwear if that's what's going to take me to get over this).

5. I decided to take Melly out this morning since for many days already i came back from work much too late in the evening and it would have been raining. At the same time, i let little D out as well because the maid has not done so this morning. Little D started to do a runner, in the middle of the road, i had to go after her. After a stretch about 5 houses, finally caught up with her. While this drama took place, Melly decided to go walkabout. Maid came out, told her to go look for melly. After 2 minutes came back and said that the fat one was nowhere to be found. I lost my patience and said ,'Cari lah! Takkan nak biar je!' Then i dragged little D to look for Melly myself, she decided to jump onto next door kindergarten's Little Tyke's seesaw. Got annoyed because those girls next door aren't exactly the friendliest of souls, she got a smack on the thigh. Maid found Melly in the bushes, passed little D to her, dragged Melly home, gave her a tight slap on the botty. Too much drama this early in the day. Annoyed with all 3 of them involved in the drama (or actually every living breathing soul at no. 31??), thus decided to get ready, jumped into carriage and off to work. Leave canceled. Puas hati!
