MLC

It’s apparent that it’s not only me that is experiencing mid-life crisis. Although I must say that for some people rather than being a sport about it i.e. mengaku saja la and just laugh about it, ada yang tak nak mengaku, mati2 deny.
MLC #1 I had a friend who faced this mid-life crisis thingy a few years back. It was a bit premature I think memandangkan he was younger than me and at that time he must be in his early 30s. Tiba2 je pakcik ni mula berdressing hip…..i mean previously berpakaian macam budak nerd dalam kelas. Dari spec bingkai hitam terus tukar ke electric blue. Dari workshirt yg button down kelip2 kain acrylic (we all gelarkan kain baju yg bukan cotton / silk kain acrylic) tukar ke 100% cotton and seluar khaki D0ckers…you know gaya berunsur2kan cool and casual..Then baju santai pulak style yg ada nampak bentuk badan jalur2…once there was this function at our workplace and this mamat siap beli baju baru, sorok dari bini (memang sah tak bawak bini la kan) and got one of our female colleagues to judge..OK tak baju tu and ada rupa cam so and so selalu pakai tak? Guess what the so and so idola of this guy happened to be Mr Gig! (yeah laki aku!) Kah kah kah…I always thought MG dressed up in appropriately for someone yg dah beranak dua and ehem..physique tak le cam jaman2 dia masuk gym dulu kan…only just now I tengok dia tertidur kat depan tv, mengiring…dgn mulut ternganga, perut jatuh ke bawah…still…sib baik dapat bini yg suka kat orang yg bam bam ni…Anyway, during that dinner, MG happened to sit next to that guy and yeah, they looked nearly like twins…dua2 baju warna brown, stripes…the only thing was, satu stripe lebar, satu nipis..Kalau setakat dressing je boleh tahan lagi…ni mula menjinak2kan diri berfriendster and tah hapa2 lagilah aktiviti ‘merapatkan silaturrahim’.

MLC#2 My little boss who is also a friend has to attend hubby’s workplace function. I think julung2 kali hubby mengajak kut.So, all last week, makcik sibuk menyiapkan diri ala2 cam nak naik pelamin sekali lagi. Selain dari yg biasa dia buat like spa, mani and pedi, she also went for makeup testing and beli bling2. But yg paling kelakar sekali was after 37 years, she decided to have her eye brows shaped. Imagine sebelum ni eyebrowsnya kalah Inak Mawik(tambah2 lagi makcik ni ada DKK jugak, so she was quite hairy), tetiba she discovered area cam airport runaway between her eyebrow and eyelid. After missing from from workplace A for nearly a week, I came in on Fri and spotted her looking ‘permanently surprised’. I tried taknak ketawa but laughter is the best medicine…haha.
MLC#3 Well I have to mention about laki I sendiri kan…(sorry MG…you kata you dah tak baca blog I so I do hope you keep it that way..kang terasa pulak kang..). He came back with a football jersey from his last trip to Phuket. It’s white in colour obviously bila kaler terang, orang yg sedikit ‘gempal’ akan nampak bertambah lagi la comelnya…but being the mithali wife I am, I diam je. One day last week, he came back late from the office and tengok2 bila balik he was in his sports attire…main sports uols..OK la kan…at least badan sihat…I tanya main apa??? Futsal? Nope…Badminton ke?? (I terpikir dlm hati..) idak uols….beach volley ball!!! Amboi boi….am I missing something here??? Ada pompuan in skimpy sporty beach-volley-ball attire ke yg tetiba menaikkan napsu laki I nak berriadah ke?? (still I biarkan saja because I don’t believe in prevention, instead, I always keep that kapak for damage control should the need arises). Today he disappeared for the whole day (shopping) and came back with a new pair of trainers..he said utk bagi dia power..apa2 je la asalkan jgn trainers tu nanti join trainers I dlm almari je dah. Last night bila bersiap nak ke barbq my bro, I tengok dia nak pakai football jersey tu. Saja je mulut ni terpaksa bercakap, don’t wear that, it doesn’t flatter you (meaning: makes you look fatter)..MG said, it makes me look sporty..
Apa2 je la labu….
