I ada kawan ni. Nak kata baik sangat dari dulu tak jugak. Tapi since dah jadi teman se-bot, you can't help but get close to one another. Hati dia baik. Suka tolong orang..suka bersedekah. Dan tidaklah cam I yg liat nak ke kelas ngaji..lagi2 kelas ustazah yg garang. Teringat jaman2 sekolah dulu yg kakak2 senior suka sangat nak paksa2 pi usrah. And dia takde nak buang2 duit beli henbeg, bling bling cam I ni. Sempoi je orangnya. Anyway, because of all her attributes ni lah I propose kat dia satu plan ni. I am a loyal supporter / reader of myanimalcare.org. One post mentioned about the plight of some dogs at a construction site. The dogs were abandoned and starved. They were emanciated. Two lovely ladies feed them daily but only manage to do it once daily. They actually cook the dogs rice with any food scraps given by donors. They welcome any kind of assistance in the form of human / dog food or cash. Since my friend ni ada family business yg melibatkan makanan yg sentiasa ada leftovers yg tak terlarat makan dek depa, I asked if she would mind donating the leftovers to feed the animals. I said since the tempat kejadian tak jauh dari rumah dia, I'm sure if we were to contact the two ladies, they wouldn't mind coming to collect the leftovers. At first dia tanya, kucing ke? I said no, dogs. Eh, anjing taknaklah katanya. I asked why not? They are also god's creatures. Lagipun kan makanan tu kan akan dibuang juga. Ah taknaklah katanya..and that was the end of discussion. She said they were taught since little to not bagi muka kat binatang. Which I presumed here must be cats and dogs.
Recently, she asked me why is my hbag always so huge and heavy? I said because among other things I carry catfood with me. She then said, ooo u must be like one of those ladies that feed stray cats. I proudly said yes I do. She told me of this makcik yg selalu bagi kucing makan on the way home from surau. Tak sukalah! Bagi kat depan rumah orang..pas tu kucing berak kat rumah kita. I just said, you just tell the makcik to not give any cats makan dekat2 dgn rumah u. And if you don't like cats to trespass your garden, pancut je lah air...
I'm disappointed. I'm really, really disappointed with her because dia selalu quote hadis itu ini ayat quran itu ini, ajak orang kasih kepada Allah n Rasul...tapi sayangnya dia tak extend kasih sayangnya kpd makhluk Allah selain dari manusia. Entahlah...susah I nak terima orang macamni jadi kawan rapat I. I rasa macam I mewakili all the stray cats and dogs out there sangat2 kecik hati dgn dia ni. Semoga suatu hari nanti hati dia berubah.
Kalau ada yg rasa Cik Kiah over lah, asyik2 nak bela nasib binatangggg je, ramai lagi orang yg kelaparan kat luar sana. Dah nama blog pun MakBulu...bukannya bulu roma or bulu jem@£¥! Sebenarnya orang yg ada rasa belas kasihan kat haiwan, akan rasa belas kat manusia. But not vice versa. Ingatlah, yang di atas tetap memerhati dan mencatit walaupun you tolong seekor semut sekalipun.

DeleteI love all animals..err...the slimy ones to kureng sikit lah. But it doesn't mean i would allow them to be tortured ke..Orang Islam ni ramai yg confused. Bila kata anjing tu najis, kena samak, diaorg pepandai buat hukum sendiri kata haram. Hence bila anjinnya depa nak agro. Padahal yg pi leser2 kat boipren gepren tu yg haram i.e. berdosa. Pegang, main2 or bagi anjing makan tak berdosa. Nak bela utk jaga rumah pun tak berdosa. Cuma bab yg kena samak tu yg leceh sikit.
Ck, i really hope that someday I can join myanimalcare's benevolence. I sangat tak cukup ilmu agama tapi it saddens me to see these 'pious people' attitude.. seriously what s wrong with helping animal? bukan banyak kisah nabi dan rasul pasal memberi pertolongan kepada binatang ke?

DeleteEmonye dengar sebab anjing je die decide it is not worth to help. Ade few kisah melibatkan nabi ke sahabat nabi yang beri makanan to anjing kelaparan. Kena cari balik kisah tu for future reference for people who turned up their nose.

Anyway, kenkadang malas jugak nak tengok dalam myanimal or KTAJ punye page tu. Rase depressing sangat the amount of unwanted animals that is out there.
I pun kenkadang terlupa nak masukkan catfood dlm bag kalau bertukar bag tu. Lepas tu kalau jumpa strays tengah jalan mulalah rasa cam nak kick myself.

Di sini sgt susah nak jumpa anjing or kucing.
Melainan kat rumah2 saja.
Yakni stray cats mmg jarang nampak, tp kat pasar bab mkn mmg mewah la.

All creatures big or small, semua Allah yg punya. Kita ni tolong jaga amanah je. I live for the day where kat Msia ni semua strays dimmandulkan and takde majlis bandaran hantar orang utk tangkap anjing2 and kucing jalanan. And for Msians to change their mentality: neuter their pets and feed the strays. Amin..
Salam, pious salah ajaran tu. I came from a very conservative muslim family. Never have my mum taught me to differentiate love for 'mughallazahs' creature as long as they don't harm you. Back when I used to stay quite far from campus, now and then I saw this Indian man crossed the highway I used to feed stray dogs. The dogs would swarm him with tail wagging, hopeful (hungry I guess). It was a beautiful sight. You couldn't NOT pray for his kindness just because it was the dogs he fed....

DeleteYes, dogs are loyal animals. They are so unassuming, grateful and full of adoration kan? But i guess for most Malays, fear of dogs transpires into contempt.And tak pasal2 nak pi pukul anjing, baling dgn batu..padahal anjing nak mintak makan je..

ReplyDeleteno dalil pun..itu andaian some scholars.not all muslim scholars. never mentioned in hadeeth or what. i wish org melayu woul try to understand and learn islam more...jgn just ikut budaya n pemahaman tah hapa hapa.... kaji betul2 what is islam's stance on dogs. yg kena samak tu daging babi..tak caya baca quran...and also 'bekas' jilatan anjing...BEKAS...
no the sentuhan anjing...although dogs are not encouraged as pets in islam they have their uses...ie eskimos , seeing dogs for the blind , police and rescue , dll...

DeleteI do samak if either me or the dog is wet. It's more of was2. Yes, i am aware of the hadeeth that mentioned regarding the 'bekas jilatan anjing'. But there is also a hadeeth saying this, 'Bahwa Rasululah SAW diundang masuk ke rumah salah seorang kaum dan beliau mendatangi undangan itu. Di waktu lainya, kaum yang lain mengundangnya dan beliau tidak mendatanginya. Ketika ditanyakan kepada beliau apa sebabnya beliau tidak mendatangi undangan yang kedua, beliau bersabda:
"Di rumah yang kedua ada anjing sedangkan di rumah yang pertama hanya ada kucing. Dan kucing itu tidaklah najis." (HR Al-Hakim dan Ad-Daruquthuny).
So, for me bila dah was2, i do the needful. It's no biggie because now sabun samak pun dah ada. Like i said before, Malays discrimination against dogs is probably out of misunderstanding hence fear.
