Cik Sri Siantan

I've been distracted. For a start, had to take Princess Boyot to the vet last week. She had this problem with her waterworks (again!). Kept her fasted for a few hours and off to the vet we went. Decided to have her anaesthetised for the all tests necessary which included xrays, ultrasound etc. The vet found 6 little stones in her bladder...dah alang2 tido tu, i consented to have her operated on. Took her home, she was groggy and in a foul mood for 3 days...had to wake up 15 mins early every morning to prepare her medication meaning mash up her tablets, mix it with her wet food and syringe it into her mouth. Two tablets twice a day for 2 weeks. Sometimes she got so worked up that i gave up. Today i thought of doing my work at home. PB wouldn't get up..her breath felt warm. She was not excited at the sight of me waving her comb, she didn't want to go for walkies. So at 2pm today, i took her to the vet. He said that she's got a fever. I felt guilty for not adhering to her strict antibiotic regime. Owned up to the vet. He changed her tablets to a less bitter one...straight from the vet, i syringed the tab into her mouth, she looked OK. This one must have tasted better. Anak orang sakit, anak bulu sakit, it's so emotionally draining and taxing..

But of course di waktu2 lain, i menghadiri sesi menggemukkan badan with Esah & co. Hmmpph..kalau jadilah plannya nak balik every 3 months, habislah i! Ever since Bella had braces on, she's looking ever so slim and gorgeous. Esah of course tinggi cam galah and what with the overactive thyroid, makan 8 pinggan pun no hal. Loyar Sabung Ayam pun pinggangnya kecikkk je. So not fair! Baru i buat gimmick nak order salad je, terjojol bijik mata Esah and Bella (tapi lain kali kita cakap kat Sally Mally kalau dia tak nak makan tak leh join, ok? Takdak vice langsung ke you? Makan tak, hisap tak..hehe).

Baru2 ini, kawan i putus chenta. Ni mungkin off again, on again punya jenis. Dia tanya i, kenapa chenta hatinya berubah hati? Apa salah dia? Orang tu suka clubbing, walaupun dia lebih suka tengok drama melayu kat tv, tapi dia redha. Dia sanggup jadi patung chendana kat rumah. Bila orang tu cakap, i want to see other people, dia cakap, it's OK, do what you want, i understand it's not easy when you're here and i'm there. Apa lagi yg orang tu nak dari dia? Tak cukup baik ke dia? So i asked, bila you berjauhan, adakah chenta hati you as committed as you in keeping the fire burning (chewah bahasa!). Adakah dia juga bersekang mata atau cancel clubbing utk berskype dgn you? Sekiranya jawapannnya ya, it means the person is as committed as you but sekiranya tidak....(tepuk dada tanya selera).

When 2 people are in a long distance relationship and both want it to work, of course la both will put in extra efforts. Telephone, email, sms, skype and what not. Lagipun, kalau dah cintan cintun, all those things that needed doing cam contoh tadi, will not be a chore. Kan best apa? Dapat sms, i miss you pun dah boleh sengih satu hari...apatah lagi kalau dapat dengar suara or tengok rhope kat skype. Kalau dulu dapat surat berkajang2 and surat tu la yg dibawak kehulu kehilir simpan bawah bantal, jadi macam belacan, until the next one arrives...now ni kemudahan bercinta amatlah mudah..so there's no excuse kata takde masa...I jugak cakap kat kawan i ni, probably dia mintak nak break up dgn you because you are serious about moving closer to be near each other that made her partner think- oh oh..this is real stuff, don't play play. When you two are not in the same continent, you are not forced to deal with the problem i.e. this is it. OK la, nak bukak cerita sikit, ni bukan ceritamu ceritaku ye Sally. Satu masa dulu when i was working in UK, cuma utk setahun je, Siamang and i kept the relationship going by talking with each other on the phone (i la yg menkayakan BT) and emailing. Sebelum balik tu banyak la dia plan, ajak bertunang masa cuti deepavali la etc. Then when i got home, dia boleh cakap kat i, kita postpone dulu ye, i'm not so sure about this. The reality hit him that when we're both in KL, bertunang ke tak, this is it. Kalau i tak nampak kira boleh dimaafkan la, but now that i'd be around, can i actually tolerate his clubbing, karaokeing, ramai kawan pompuan etc.? Seperti kawan i yg putus chenta ni jugak, i enggak suka clubbing, pergi karaoke tak pernah and heck i didn't know any of his female friends. Sabarkah i menjadi patung chendana kat rumah? Suffice it to say, we were not meant for each other because we had no common ground to start on.

Kawan i ni cakap kat i, bukankah chenta memerlukan pengorbanan? Yes, i said. But pengorbanan in this context i rasa macam dari segi wang ke, masa ke, harta benda ke or even buah pinggang sebijik. Tapi kalau rasa cam diri sendiri yg menjadi korban, ni macam berchenta dgn hantu raya je...
Whatever it is, i hope this friend of mine will love herself first above others (except God). Find someone who will treat you the way you deserve to be treated.
